Project Assistant

Job Description

If so, we invite you to apply for the position of Project Assistant at ITAKA Foundation.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to project teams, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining project documentation.

  • Assist in the development and monitoring of project work plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to established goals and objectives.

  • Coordinate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including partner organizations, community members, and funders.

  • Assist in organizing project events, workshops, and field visits, including logistics coordination and participant management.

  • Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of project data and outcomes, contributing to monitoring and evaluation efforts.

  • Contribute to the development of project proposals, reports, and other documentation as needed.

  • Assist in identifying and addressing challenges and opportunities for project improvement and innovation.

Location: 

Yaoundé, Bafia, Bamenda, Bandjoun

Duration: 

Full-time Contract; 1 year with possibilities of renewal depending on the availability of Funding 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. international development, project management, social sciences) preferred.

  • Previous experience in project coordination, administration, or related roles, preferably in the non-profit sector.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management software/tools.
